About Sports Mentorship

Built for athletes.
Backed by family.

A mentorship company helping student-athletes and parents handle the full journey — not just the sport.

Recruiting, academics, confidence, playing time, pressure, health, family communication, and life beyond sports. We help families organize the chaos and build a better plan.

The Story Behind Sports Mentorship

A mentor-led company with a family support system.

Sports Mentorship family team

Sports Mentorship is led by Drew Knuppel, a former college athlete who found his passion helping younger players. Behind him is a family that has lived the athlete journey through college sports, parenting, homeschooling, recruiting, sports business, health, and recovery.

Our Mission

Help athletes grow without losing themselves.

Sports can build confidence, discipline, leadership, toughness, and opportunity. But the path can also get messy fast. We help athletes and families stay clear, aligned, and prepared.

01

Keep athletes eligible.

Grades, planning, communication, and academic structure stay near the center.

02

Keep athletes progressing.

Better habits, better decisions, and a clearer path forward.

03

Keep families aligned.

Parents get guidance without taking over the athlete’s journey.

What We Believe

Athletes need more than effort.

Hard work matters. But families also need direction, structure, honesty, and someone who understands the bigger picture.

Sports Mentorship is meant to be a steady voice in a process that can feel scattered.

Our Standards

  • Be honest with families, even when it’s not what they want to hear.
  • Keep academics and eligibility part of every conversation.
  • Teach athletes to communicate for themselves.
  • Guide parents to support the process, not control it.
  • Build confidence through consistent habits and actions.
  • Develop athletes for what comes after sports, not just during.
