Helping Athletes Win at Life

The Elite Support System for the Modern Athlete

We partner with parents to provide the outside perspective and professional accountability that talent alone can’t provide. From managing the recruiting chaos to mastering academic discipline, we give student-athletes the mental playbook to handle the pressure, own their future, and win both inside and outside the game.

The Standard
for High-Performance

Talent is the entry fee—mindset is the differentiator.

A bad game doesn’t define who you are, but how you handle it defines where you’re going. Most athletes are hyper-focused on their stats, yet they're flying blind when it comes to the mental grind. They’re battling burnout, the performance anxiety, and the pressure of everyone’s expectations.

We focus on the human behind the jersey. By mastering the stuff that actually keeps you in the game — like extreme ownership, academic discipline, and mental resilience — we make sure you’re equipped to handle the pressure of being a high-performer. We aren't just prepping you for a scout; we’re prepping you to win at life.

Your Mentorship Leader

Drew Knuppel

Drew Knuppel is the engine behind Sports Mentorship. He just wrapped up his career as a D2 basketball player at the University of Tampa, earning his degree in Sport Management along the way. But Drew didn't build this because he had a perfect ride; he built it because he saw how many athletes — himself included — struggle with the weight of the game.

He realized that too many players are flying blind when it comes to the stuff that actually matters: handling a benching without becoming a team cancer, ignoring the D1 or bust social media noise, and realizing that a bad game doesn't define your entire life.

Drew’s here to bridge that gap by building a program rooted in reality. He’s assembled a team of mentors who have dealt with the same sports chaos, parent expectations, and academic grinds that every high-performer faces. Under Drew’s leadership, Sports Mentorship isn't just teaching a game; it’s showing athletes how to take extreme ownership, protect their personal brand, and actually enjoy the journey again.

The Success Blueprint

The L.I.F.E. Framework

Most athletes focus 100% of their energy on physical talent, but the elite 1% focus on their foundation. This framework is our core curriculum — a step-by-step playbook designed to help you master the mental and lifestyle habits that turn high-school standouts into collegiate leaders.

Choose Your Mentorship Path

The strategy is different for every athlete. Where are you in the journey?

Middle School

Middle school is where the bad habits start and the pressure begins to build. We focus on building a solid foundation of ownership and discipline while keeping the game fun. This is the head start every young athlete needs to handle the classroom, the locker room, and the jump to high school.

High School

High school sports are a mental grind. We provide the mentorship, tools and accountability you need to balance the books, ignore the social media noise, and get ready for the collegiate level. This is the playbook for athletes who are serious about their sports & future.

Testimonials

“Our son was a standout on the field, but he was completely overwhelmed by the pressure and let his grades slip. Since starting the mentorship program, the shift in his maturity has been incredible. He’s taking ownership of his schedule, his GPA is up, and for the first time, he’s actually prepared for the reality of college sports. It’s the playbook we didn't know he needed.”

John Smith

Parent of a High School Junior

“I was honestly ready to quit. The 'D1 or bust' noise and the constant grind made me lose my love for the game. This program helped me realize that my stats don't define who I am. The mentors here gave me the mental tools to handle a bad game and the discipline to build a life outside of sports. I'm playing better now because I'm actually enjoying it again.”

Ola Hugh

High School Senior / Baseball Athlete

“Our son has always had the talent, but as middle school got more competitive, we started seeing the burnout and the 'attitude' creep in. Since joining the mentorship program, the change in his maturity has been night and day. He’s finally taking ownership of his schoolwork, and he’s learning how to handle a tough loss without letting it ruin his entire week. It’s been the best investment we’ve made in his future.”

FAQ's...

  • Is this just for athletes who want to go D1?

    • No. It’s for any middle school or high school athlete who wants to be a high-performer in life. Whether you’re aiming for the pros or the corner office, these habits are universal.

  • Does this program work for both male and female athletes?

    • Absolutely. While our mentors come from various collegiate backgrounds, the L.I.F.E. Framework is designed for any high-performer. Whether it's volleyball, softball, basketball, or soccer, the mental grind and academic requirements are the same. We focus on building the human, regardless of the jersey they wear.

  • How often are the mentorship sessions?

    • It depends on your plan but typically weekly. All of our monthly plans offer weekly group mentoring sessions. Our 1 on 1 plans offer weekly private mentoring sessions as well.

  • Will my kid be working directly with Drew?

    • Drew leads the curriculum and runs many of our group sessions. For 1-on-1s, athletes are matched with mentors from our vetted team who have lived the game at the next level.

  • What if we just have a one-time crisis?

    • That’s what our SOS Hotline and a la carte services are for. You can book specific sessions without committing to a long-term plan.

  • How do the academics tie into sports?

    • We believe grades reflect work ethic. We hold athletes accountable for their classroom performance because you can't be a "pro" if you're ineligible or undisciplined with your studies.

  • How involved are the parents in this process?

    • We view parents as the "GMs" of the athlete's career. While the primary mentorship happens with the student-athlete to build their independence, we provide parents with regular updates, resources, and the "playbook" on how to support their athlete without adding to the pressure. We’re here to make your life easier, too.
